A Lutheran marriage service is always a place where Christian music is appropriate and invited. Music is one of God's very best ways of being present at your wedding. The music needs to be chosen carefully. There is no place in a Christian service for music that draws us away from the love of God made manifest in Jesus and His love for the bride and groom.

The decision as to whether a piece of secular music adds to, or detracts from, the central message of Christ's love is solely, and entirely, the pastor's. Speak to me before decisions are made about the music for your wedding.

A typical Lutheran wedding service has one or two solos and prelude and Postlude music. The wedding hostess and the organist will be very helpful with this.
