Fellowship Club

The Fellowship Club was formed to provide fellowship, lunch and entertainment for seniors of the Easton Community.  We prepared six programs in 2006.   

On February 89^th we served 66 seniors to a Valentine lunch of apricot chicken.  Entertainment was musical selections provided by Gene Ventura and Don Oliver.  

On March 14^th we served 78 seniors.  We served a Saint Patrick’s lunch with Irish stew.  Entertainment was Irish tunes by the Kenny Hall Band.  Pastor Mark Jackson, New Life Community Church provided the inspirational message.   

On April 25^th we served 82 seniors with antipasto and lasagna as part of our “Italian” theme.  The Fresno City Singers entertained us with selections that they were to perform on their concert tour to Italy.   

On June 29^th we had a Fellowship Picnic Buffet with hot dogs and hamburgers.  Our theme was “Kids Performing”.  We served 78 seniors and children.  Individuals sang and performed piano selections.  We certainly have talented youngsters in our Easton community.    

On October 11^th we presented an “Oktoberfest” theme.  German sausage and ribs, hot potato salad, and Black Forest cake was served to 50 seniors.  We were entertained again this year by Jerry Venturi and his electronic accordion.  He played many favorite polkas and other musical selections requested by the audience.   

Our last session of 2006 was “Christmas Around the World” on December 4^th.  The buffet lunch consisted of dishes from different ethnic groups and was served to 76 seniors.  We were entertained by group of Sweet Adeline’s.  They presented many harmonizing musical selections.  We also had a Christmas selection sing-a-long with accompaniment by Leona Rosendahl on the accordion.   

We wish to thank members of the team and many other folks who have contributed and volunteered their time and efforts to help plan, cook, entertain, decorate and serve.  This makes for great time for all seniors.   

We thank Pastor Paul Demant and the other Clergy for their inspirational messages based on Bible verses that we distribute at each fellowship luncheon.
