Immanuel's Present Programs and Practices In Worship Immanuel has one Sunday morning service. The music is blended (organ, piano, guitar & etc.). Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month and on celebration Sundays. The liturgy is semi-formal. The service is entirely in a bulletin and projected on a screen. Attendance is multi-generational. Because we believe that children belong in worship with their families, our worship space is noisy. Average attendance is @170. Immanuel has one Sunday evening service. The music is country western. The service is projected entirely on a screen. The service is led by a country western band. The liturgy is non-formal to non-existent. It is a seeker service. Average attendance is @70. For adults, there are 4 monthly and 1 weekly Bible studies for women; 2 weekly Bible studies for men; and, one Sunday morning class. For youth, there is Sunday school for all ages; confirmation on Wednesday evenings; and Sr. high youth group on Sunday evenings. We are a major supporter of the Fresno Rescue Mission (they are our program every Thanksgiving evening and we run a food booth at the fair to support them) and of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (we house the weekly program in our social hall and feed the 150-180 students along with the other churches in Easton). |
